I've Told Every Little Star

I'm the kinda gal who only ever gets her haircut once a year, and it's usually around July/August! As you guys could see, I needed one badly! Now, it's no secret that I enjoy big hair. Bouffants and Beehives make my heart go pitter patter! I don't know what it is... As a child I would hear stories from my mother about her Aunt's having sky high hair! They would use rats, hair pieces, and even rolled up newspaper to make their hair stand tall. Those stories were also paired with one's describing their makeup and clothes! Long full false eyelashes, pink frosty lipstick, sequins, and skin tight skirts! Mini dresses and go-go boots! The epitome of glamour to a very young girl! Now as adult I still strive to be my idea of a glamorous firecracker!

These are a few hairspiration photos! How cute are these looks!

So, no surprise that when I got my hair cut the other day I asked for something that would allow me to create the above looks! This hair has got me feeling like Charlize Theron in "That Thing You Do!" and Camilla Rhodes from "Mulholland Drive". I even caught myself singing Linda Scott's I've Told Every Little Star. I also feel like a mixture between Colleen Corby and Jackie O. I think it's fun, glamorous, huge, and it has a great nostalgic 60's vibe to it! I think I'm gonna have loads of fun dressing up! Plus accessorizing with bows and headbands, how dreamy!

Here are some photos of myself on my first full day of me sporting my new hair as well as a before shot! I feel so glam! I even feel like my mood has been lifted! haha! I do kinda wish I was an icy blonde(darn you, Charlize!), but I love my brown locks!

I feel like I should invest in some Pillbox hats! How adorable would that be?

Here's my favorite scene from "Mulholland Drive". I just really love Melissa George's look in this film! And I love sweet 60's love songs! These two things together only make me charmed!

Baby Doll you're so Sick

I've really been enjoying this baby doll look! After last nights shenanigans I got to thinking; my hair reminded me of these photos of Charlotte Free for the Jeremy Scott S/S 2012 Runway Show! As you can see the teased pigtail look was sported by Miss Free. And paired with that cute hair was this baby doll makeup look! Peach colored cheeks, winged liner, twiggies, a pink glossy lip, and some artificial freckles to finish the whole look off! Precious!

I mean check it out! Cute to boot!

Well here was my take on this fabulous look! I went a bit more pink on the cheeks. I originally just glanced at the look as opposed to really studying it for my recreation. Whoops! But sweeping that with a peach blush is an easy fix! Also, dotting on freckles is a lot harder than it looks!

And before I forget, you guys should check out my beautiful friend, Lizz's blog! She's totally cute and is a fellow Diamond and her blog is to die for! Gawk at all that is pink and cute here!

There was a piece of hair stuck to my face from my makeup brush. Welp! *shrugs shoulders*

Thank you so much for reading babies! Until next time! xx

What's a Girl Supposed to Do?

I've been out of the blogging loop for a while. I just have been uninspired and frankly lazy about it. But enough! I've recently have been inspired by my dear friend Kistchy-Princess! She's lovely, sweet, and kitschy! Everyone should go follow her here! I've been bored to death at home. This crazy summer heat makes for a very grumpy me. I've been feeling a bit down and not-so-cute! So for a little pick me up I put on The Shangri-las and got to styling! Getting dolled up is my favorite thing to do!

My hair was inspired by these photos of the glamorous Brigitte Bardot and Anna Karina. Cute, sweet, and big! Dolly Parton would be proud! The makeup was Anna Karina in "A Woman is a Woman" inspired! Powder blue on the lids and an alluring winged eye! I used "Dollhouse Pink" Wet 'N' Wild lipstick with a touch of "Pink Lady". I think the look is very 1960's with a bit of Lolita flare!

First for some tuneage! I picked this cd up for $7 at F.Y.E! It was $12 but since there was a tiny crack on the cd cover it got marked down! Yay!

I didn't snap any photos of the makeup process, oh well! But I did in fact get a few shots of myself in rollers! My lovely friend Elle was right! Everyone looks glam in rollers! Granted we were talking about Rosie Huntington-Whitley and Victoria Secret models at the time, but still! I love my giant conair hot rollers but I loathe the metal pins! I really ought to pick up some actual roller clips at Sally's.

Anyways here are some photos of me in rollers! Oh Boy!

And now one with the rollers out! So glam, I know! To be honest though I felt like Ann-Margret, and that's always a swell thing!

And now the completed look! Note: Very pic heavy! I'm a narcissistic gal! *wink*

And what the rest of my night looks like! Playing dress up, a little bit of light reading and some flicks! I also took a few random shots of things in my room! I sensed a little theme going on, might as well run with it!

Welp, babies! I'm gonna leave you with this video of The Shangri-las singing "Give him a Great Big Kiss". They are too precious for words and this song is awfully sweet! Mwuah!xx
