Cosmic Love

A falling star fell from your heart and landed in my eyes
I screamed aloud, as it tore through them, and now it's left me blind

The stars, the moon, they have all been blown out
You left me in the dark
No dawn, no day, I'm always in this twilight
In the shadow of your heart

This look was inspired by "Cosmic Love," one of my favorite Florence + the Machine songs! Like I've mentioned in a previous post, I purchased a new palette, and have been playing around with it. This is the second look I've done using this palette. I played with the purple colors since I'm always very weary of purple eye shadows. They tend to look very muddy in my opinion. But I was quite pleased with the blend-ability and color pay off!

Someone on tumblr told me it reminded them of a unicorn! I'm flattered to say the least. I told her, now that I thought about it, it also reminded me of The Donnas' music video for "Fall Behind Me."

But alas, Cosmic love...

I took the stars from my eyes, and then I made a map
And knew that somehow I could find my way back
Then I heard your heart beating, you were in the darkness too
So I stayed in the darkness with you

And this is The Donnas video I was referring to!

Azure Allure Eyes

I purchased the Coastal Scents Creative Me Palette #1 recently. I Haven't had a chance to play around with it until today. I did two different looks. I'll show the other one in a different post. I will also be making a separate post reviewing the product and showing swatches.
I call this look Azure Allure. Kinda tacky, I know!
Basically this is just a pretty blue look. Very simple to apply yet makes a dramatic statement! And it has a touch of sparkle, very eye catching indeed!

♡ Channeling My Inner Marina ♡

I'm revisiting this look!

A while back I posted a few photos of makeup I did on myself inspired by Marina Diamandis. However they were only in black and white. I really wanted you guys to see how it looked in color. So I finally got my act together and played dress up!

My inspiration!

Now my take!

Let me know if you guys want to see a makeup tutorial on this look!
xoxo April

I can Sparkle up your Eye!

One of my all time favorite holidays is Independence Day!

Reasons why:
.Sparklers
.Summertime
.Slip n Slides
.Running through the sprinklers
.BBQ
.Firecracker Popsicles
.Americana
.Fireworks
.Watermelon
.Family time

My family and I usually get together for a huge BBQ and then watch fireworks later on in the night. Unfortunately things came up this year and our usual plans got cancelled. I was really bummed about it specially since I got all dolled up.

I made myself feel better with some great music!

Here's is my Americana Playlist:
. "American Woman" by The Guess Who
. "American Girl" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
. "America" by Simon & Garfunkel
. "Free Fallin'" by Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers
. "Star Spangled Banner" by Jimi Hendrix
. "We're an American Band" by Grand Funk Railroad
. "Gramma" by Lana Del Rey
. "National Anthem" by Lana Del Rey

And these are some photos I took!

4th of July makeup <3
And later on in the night I got bored and decided to give myself some bumper bangs and added a bit of blue to my bottom lash line!
